Dromex is Africa’s biggest manufacturer and distributor of personal protective equipment, workwear, and specialized safety equipment for hazardous environments.
In 2019 when many work wear manufacturers were re-locating to cheaper, low-cost operations outside the country, Dromex reiterated its commitment to the local South African economy, building a state-of-the-art SABS approved, work wear manufacturing facility in KwaZulu Natal. This facility covers 8000m2 and is equipped with the latest technology, systems, and machinery to enable Dromex Globale to produce workwear that is tailored to the specific requirements of different industries. Equipped with over 26 lines and producing up to 500 000 garments a month, has provided Dromex the responsiveness necessary to always deliver on demand.
People are our priority at Dromex Globale and we pride ourselves on our happy and caring work environment, with an on-site clinic and spacious rest areas. Dromex Globale provides direct employment for over a thousand people from the local community, providing much needed employment opportunities for these underserved communities, as well as training and development opportunities to help equip them to build a better future.
