Every year on July 18, South Africans and people around the world come together to honor the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela by dedicating 67 minutes of their time to making a positive impact in their communities. At Dromex, Mandela Day was more than just an event — it was a reflection of our commitment to social responsibility, unity, and service. Inspired by Madiba’s enduring legacy of compassion and leadership, our employees dedicated their time and resources aimed at uplifting those less fortunate.
Our 2025 Mandela Day initiative centered around supporting a children’s home (Ethelbert Children’s Home) by making sandwiches as well as donating items mentioned on their wish list e.g. toothbrush, rice, sugar, milk & toilet paper. Mandela Day reminds us that even small actions, when multiplied, can drive big change.
As we reflect on this year’s Mandela Day, we are reminded that service to others is a cornerstone of both Madiba’s legacy and our own values as a company. We remain committed to being a force for good — not only on July 18, but every day of the year.
